Santa Rosa News (Newspaper) - August 26, 1965, Santa Rosa, New Mexico Page 2 Santa Rosa N Mex News August Hospitality There can be no question by what Governor Jack M Campbell and the other visiting dignitaries for the dedication of the State Fish Hatchery overly impressed with the hospitality shown Santa Rosans Everything went off like clock Our Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce certainly themselves in making it the greatest ever While we can not take any credit away from their president John J Coury or our honorable mayor Sotero J Sanchez Jr for the gracious manner in which they received and welcomed our visiting VIPs we certainly must mention a few of the many others who played a vital part in making the dedication such a smashing success The fast moving program credit goes to Cecil B Arnold who served as master ceremonies at the dedication and at the luncheon later at Park Lake An excellent job Thursday night's hospitality hour at the Spanish inn was a far greater success than had been anticipated and Nora Carpenter and the famed Chamber Maids did an outstanding job U was tops A lot of Santa Rosans had a hand in the luncheon by the Chamber following the dedication Club Cafe and Lettie's Restaurant prepared -a meal that will be the envy of a public feeding for many a day Philip Craig and Frigie Campos brought a great deal of honor to Santa Rosa of their mastery of the cookery Also AH the proper execution of the luncheon too fiuch can not be said for the efforts and of Chamber directors Hugh Cooper and Eddie They were in charge of the luncheon id it was handled beautifully All in all Santa Rosa did a mighty fine job hosting the dedication We have just cause to be proud Santa Rosa does things up right FINDLAY OHIO The the Jews the Catholics the Protestants and the white folks Everybody's so grave as it is This survey discloses that the major concern of American citizens is the proper education of their offspring This concern is even spreading throughout our own county and has even penetrated such backward rural villages as Anton Chico whose unsavory reputation is largely attributed to the negative impact of the local school upon its community This growing concern over education has had an unusual and ing effect throughout the state It has resulted in healthful sign that more and more people are having it brought home to them that politics in a school system is ex- tremely detrimental resulting in low tional standards a eral deterioration and the turning out of more and more functional illiterates A
