APRIL Local elections Saturday attract fair voter turnout City councilmen and school board members faired well In Saturday's election which attracted a fair voter turnout In San County Polling boxes In three cities and two school districts reported that a fair number of voters flocked to cast their ballots despite rain showers In most of the county Saturday In the race for three positions on the Shepherd school board Billy Fly won position one Ken McAdams won position two and Don Beeson position three the school board for another term while Dean Jones was elected to serve his first term on the board In the Coldspring city In the Shepherd city council council race incumbents race Nutt Quinter James Sewell Bob Brumley Andrews and Alvin and R B Love easily swept Ellis were elected to seats the three available positions Lewis Woodruff returned to on the council Point Blank elected a new mayor in the Saturday tion Thomas Earl Walters received 79 votes to win the mayoral election against Incumbent Dr Logan who received 29 votes Elected to the Point Blank City council are Hansen and Woody Dunaway Stanley found guilty of manslaughter second mistrial declared A second was declared In the Lester Stanley case morning by District Judge Ernest Coker The first mistrial was declared February 28 by Judge Coker because the jury at that time could not decide in favor of murder or manslaughter
