having spent the better part of two years in the care feeding and upbringing of a couple of humans whom I have necessity to keep peace in the consider themselves my master and mistress I see myself as somewhat of an expert on the subject of people training This then is an open letter to all of my fellow pussy cats to you uninformed my curriculum for bringing up humans TO FELINES Perhaps the best way to get across my mesage is to relive for you ghastly experiences I have had to suffer through in order to properly train my two humans It all started when my mans brought me home for the first time Such going Instead of a couple of adults those two acted like juveniles Not that I minded all that coddling and petting and such but a good thing can be carried too far I nally put a stop to it with some well place claws And this name picking bit was something else Now what dignified black cat can go through life with a moniker like Why they find something with a lilt to it But I've got accustomed to Satin and its not so bad after all I kind of let my TH two mans have their own way for the first few weeks so they could get the feel of things Its a funny thing about they're a rebellious lot and have to be handled sometimes with kid gloves I was able to get through to the distaff side of TH after all the female of the cies is a lot smarter and easier to train Starting out with the most simple things I was able to teach my TH the proper way to dangle a catnip mouse trom a string I went through the usual antics and played for hours with this little toy before my TH finally got the nack of it This got to be old hat after a fashion so I had to find thing else to amuse them I tried them on the run of the mill with bells in them balls of yarn and the like before I hit upon the fect TH plaything My TH had a rubber water spout on the kitchen sink cet One of them had screwed it on so tight I had to chew the thing of But it was worth it They now get just throwing that thing around Of course they're too lazy or not smart enough to go get it so I dash after it and bring it back to them so they toss it again Us really amazing the effect this little bit of therapy has had on my TH One of the most difficult parts of people training is in speech You have to put up with their and slang and only with patience can you get through to them Again the female half of my TH was the first to break the language barrier She and I are now able to carry on an gent knows exactly what I want Buy my male that idiot can't even the if V V Like when its time for me to go visit my friend Charley stairs I take my TH along in order to keep an eye on them and let them play with ley's With just one simple meow my man knows the time here But her mate is another story I've got to enough to fix his own food if you can call the stuff they eat mato juice and coffee and I allow him to prepare my mouth watering breakfast This comes only with months and months of instructions You've got to watch constantly or they'll try to slip something over on you This people training is hard work but rewarding I've got them established in a pretty good patera now and only once in a while do I have to resort to punishment such as sinking my claws into a leg when my TH fails to respond to my teachings I don't go in much for the punishment routine but I am of the school For the most part I reward the gress of TH by purring and rubbing up st their legs But actually I suppose I don't have to tell you fellow lines how to raise your humans Psychologists in Conducting tests have found we are
