Senior Editor When the latest Harry Potter film earned a rating tremors went through America Good grief Yes there are scary scenes but the in the last film were just as terrifying Yes hormones have passed through Hogwarts like a minor tsunami but theres nothing here that comes close to whats on TV every day Yes theres a dance and World Cup Quidditch hero Victor Krum Stanislav lanevski not Ron Weasley Rupert Grint asks Hermione and the waltz gives way to rock n roll Yes Ron has taken to exclaiming Bloody Hell hold that thought every few minutes not to mention FILM REVIEW Harry Potter and to show the strain One glance at a production shot from the first film reveals everything those cute kids are rapidly becoming dren which means that the series has a builtin limitation on its credibility Daniel Harry Potter has far outgrown his fictional age For her part Emma Watson as Hermione Granger was cuter and as a child than she is now an adolescent in her awkward years Rupert Grinf s Ron Weasley a fellow without wit or Harrys special skill seems to be tipping toward bitterness and coarseness as though he were going to end up in time looking more like Brendan Gleesons MadEye Moody than one of the good guys With the last book in the Potter series still J K Rowling must be feeling a little like the legendary St Christopher by now a few years ago she picked up what looked
