looking about them to see if some plan cannot be to attract im migration to this part of our common coun try Only think that more than one thou sand immigrants each day of 1880 were landed upon our shores and that of this vast number only came to the Southern States MONROE THE INFLUX OF IMMIGRATION ANNUAL OF THE TO THE STATE LEGISLATURE The annual report of the Board of Com missioners of
