Orrville Rotary Club The RotaryClub met at the Orrville Public Library am Rotary held its annual Candidates Day where members get to hear from community members running for public Vocational Avenue arranged the event and Rotarian Mark Zook served as the Candidates running in an tested race were each given three speak and candidates in Ihe contested races were given five minutes Running uncontested and speaking were Greg Roadruck for Orrville School Denny Miller and Lyle Baker for Orrville City Don and Wilbur Hostetler for Green Township Campaigning for the contested races were Richard Shisler and Matt Stoll for Baughman and Judge William and Clerk of Courts Carol White Milhoan for Wayne County Municipal Court Guests in attendance were Jennifer Seifried with Rotarian Nadine Dan Lutz with Rotarian Tim Visiting Rotarian Greg Long of the Wooster Club and his Carolyn and Jo wife of Judge Oct 11 Meeting The Orrville Rotary Club met at the Orrville Public Library 1 Rotarian Melinda Thomas intro Phyllis Jones Youth Mentoring Coordinator of who has been running a mentoring program in Wooster for the last five In conjunction with the Orrville Turning Point Coalition and the Orrville Area Boys and Girls a men toring program is set to begin in Jones spoke of 40 assets help a child grow to be a responsible Jones sited having three or more nonparent adults for supervision ana sup port as one 01 the most important The focus of the program is to establish a long relationship between a youth needing adult support and an adult in a safe environment If a mentoring relationship does not last more than a month it may be worse for the child than no mentor at Volunteers are needed and can become mentors after a background check and a training Interested per sons Main Street Orrville will soon be sharing office space at 133 North Main Interior renovations are complete and exterior renovations are set to begin shortly as depicted in the rendering Both organizations are excited to have a presence on Main The new office space includes ample square footage for the two organizations and a large conference room to hold monthly board meetings and to meet with Stop by to drop off stories and to hear about the next exciting Main Street Orrville OHS Haunted Halls Brings Safe Halloween Fun Once Again By the OHS Student Council T h e Orrville H i g h School and its student council The mums are in bloom at the entrance of the Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company office located on south Main will host the OHS Haunted Halls once again at Orrville High School on 31 from 78 Several OHS and organizations will haunt the school hall ways and with each providing a different theme and lots of treats for the Haunted Halls is a safe alternative to the
