their dependents elsewhere During various visits to the camp Mr Baker has mingled with the men He greeted them on the night of their arrival here and in conversation with them learned of their individual unemployment Some of the boys were de- scribed as slightly more than of and all of them being en- gaged to worthwhile work both for their families and the community Bach man receives only 15 per month food and lodging the remaining 25 of his salary going to his dependents One man especially concerned for his family kept only three dollars for his own use j from a month's salary Their
