Shirley and Kenneth Roller of Erie are guests of George ter and family here Large Barn Is Razed By Fire A large barn owned by Mrs John William Myers near East Berlin was completely destroyed by fire shortly after 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon Although the cause of the fire is not definitely known it it believed that it was started either by spontaneous combustion or a short circuit in the electric wiring in the barn A chicken hog pen silo and wagon shed were also destroyed The loss was estimated by Fire Chief George of the East Berlin Fire company to be about and is partly covered by insurance Neighbor Sees Blaze The first was discovered by Bruce Gentzler the nearest neighbor to the Myers farm who rushed to the scene of the and helped to re- move four calves a cow four pigs a colt and three hundred chickens from the barn and the surrounding buildings Another neighbor mond Rease sent in the alarm for the East Berlin fire company which responded immediately The only means of fighting the
