OTHERS The demonstration of Tammany Hall laat evening In ratification of the national Democratic ticket and ita own local ticket was a brilliant spectacle The crowds be- gan to gather In Fourteen and Second and Third avenues about 7 o'clock although tho proverbial tardiness of cessions must have been known to many of the sightseers It was 8 o'clock before the first sign of a parade appeared In tho shape of a Marshal's aid who sat calmly on a sorrel horse and waited for something 10 turn up man of tho Twenty-sixth Precinct with policemen stood near by and did wise It was nearly 9 o'clock before lights wore descried far up and tho approach of part of the procession was made known All tho bodies had ordered to to Col Austen at and and though they came from all over tho city they were turned westward Into in pretty good shape Tho streets by the the organization mado Its appearance were packed densely with people and the policemen were utterly unable to keep them back to the curbstones They crowded forward until a car came along and then trampled each other In their efforts to get out of the way Tho procession at which they gazed took about two hours and a half to pass a given point Commissioner Hrennan who waa the Grand Marshal estimated that ho had In line Ho had certainly over 30.000 The first organizations which appeared were tho campaign clubs of tho Sixteenth Assembly which
