play equipment at the city hold a story book hour and have supervised recreation for LOTS OF CONCENTRATION at Sundays meeting of the Community Resource Development Twenty one area youth met to discuss projects to improve our attending Kathy Eddie Kenny Lewis Doug Pennie Rich Mike Janice Joe Debbie Michelle Mary Julie Bob Elaine Tonya Jeanette Bobby Argo and Dick During the business meeting the youth brainstormed for project ideas to be done in city an Almost and sponsor a Community Pride The youth suggested having a frisbie and 10minute slave service booth at the 4th of July The youth also want to sponsor a dance to be held on the evening of July 4th on the tennis The proceeds from the booth and dance will go towards buying the paint needed to complete the other youth Glenda New Markets annual 4th of July Celebration will be held as usual on Monday at the city The schedule of events will begin at pm with the 811 year olds baseball softball teams competing in two At there will be Kids Races followed by Anything Goes at Any New Market student who has just completed 5th through 8th grade is eligible to compete in a junior Anything Goes contest at New Markets July 4th Two winning teams will be selected to represent New Market and Siam at the Taylor County Fair on August The winning team at the fair will be given a trip to Worlds of Fun second place prize is a skate board third place prize is a gift certificate at the Frosty at the fair not placing will receive one Silver The contest will begin at 5 oclock at the football Jerry and Darla Norman and Marilyn Jane Steve and
