Board of gives it as his opinion that the first through road from St Louis to Kansas City that will be built is along the northern route or the line on which Moberly is situated The building isi to be done under the direction of the board that Mr Ellis The people on the northern route were to make the said Mr Ellis but I be lieve they are the best organized They are fortunate in another re spect that the road will take the people of the districts that must build it they want to go The south side east of Jeft crson City won la lead away from the railroads not to them and For that reason I think it will be built very quiCKly The rond need to be straight Let build to its own and connect up with other roads the tage of roads will result in others jeing cut offs that Avill the distance for through less I am anx that one county should and build through its part of the road example will have an on other counties There are several of the counties along route that have a part share al readybuilt THE ELKS BALL GAME Moberly Boys Won but the Exhi was Witnessed by a Very Poor Crowd As stated in yesterdays Moni tor the Elks of Moberly defeat ed the Richmond Elks iu the game at Willotts
