planning and budget activities now Upon appointment of the new chancellor President Knapp hopes to present recommendations to the Board of Trustees by April a decision will be made as to whether the position of vice chancellor of academic affairs will be permanently eliminated or whether a search committee will be formed Although no longer of academic affairs Steamer who began teaching at in 1972 will not be leaving the Harbor Campus Next September he will resume fulltime teaching in the Politics Department something he is looking forward to though he admits the transition from vice chancellor to professor resulted in a significant salary cut Until September Steamer is on leave during which time he will plan his classes read do research and participate in a conference in England entitled
