Writers Robert Kastens partnership with a group of Milwaukee real es tate syndicators could cost the sena tor hundreds of thousands of dollars and appears destined to haunt him politically as It has been only a few weeks since the Wisconsin Securities Commis filed a civil complaint naming the Republican junior senator along with nine other individuals and 30 partnerships and corporations in con with a series of securities law The picture emerging from the tan gled wheelings and dealings of Kas tens partners Is one of desperate gambles to keep a collapsing finan cial empire Although Kasten has denied involvement in routine operations of the as a general partner he is one of those li able for the heavy debts resulting from their Criminal charges are likely to be lodged against some of persons were charged in Dane County criminal court today with a total of 30 counts of theft and related crimes in what officials say is one of the largest crackdowns on theft and burglaries in county
