named as one and she numbers 76 years to her age Noble township numbers besides Mrs David BarneM two other claim ants Booth Barnett 73 and Eliza beth McMillen also 72 years of age Walton comes up with a patriarch in the person of David Engler born December 9th 1S16 and 91 years of age Logansport comes up with not so old but still a pioneer in the per son of Allen born in Ohio 76 years ago At present the aged man is seriously ill He is a prominent retired capitalist There are two other brothers W S Richardson 19 years old next April and Dick Richardson 81 years old May All are sons of Thomas Richardson who located here in 1S31 Clinton township has two claimants in the persons of Jonathan Shideler born in 1S24 and located here in 1S32 and Mrs Zacli who came here in 1832 The aged ones are many and there will be quite a number of people dis covered in the county who are near the century mark before it is definitely decided who is the oldest person in Cuss county Do you know of night before a crowd of 250 by the Peru high school girls The score was 3 to 4 the home team losing through the Perus excellence in team work For the home team Miss Helen Hughes center was the favorite mak ing three of the four scores tallied by the locals and putting the bail in the basket from the field one other time after time had been called Floy the captain and Hazel Lee also excelled for the home team Of Peru girls Miss Whitenberger who made all the scores for the vis was easily the superior of all the players Undismayed hy last nights defeat the local girls are negotiating to Indianapolis Ind March General Assembly of the State of Indiana is a matter of history the house of representatives adjourning at 5 oclock this afternoon and the senate a few minutes be fore 7 oclock this evening The senate was forced to adjourn through the action of the house which by suddenly adjourning left nothing which the members of the upper house could transact legally Never in the history of the state has a session of the legislature ended with such depression and a feeling that the work of the ers had not been completed It was with gloom that senators left the state house tonight to attend a of all members at the Claypool and even Lieutenant Governor Miller in summing up the work of the legislature pointed with pride to only two measures although he stated that much had been done
