reaching Investigation to go to grand jury Kerr County Nearly in missing Kerr County funds recovered by sheriffs department some missing By Mark TIMES STAFF WRITER Kerr County Sheriff Rusty Hierholzer said Wednesday that investigators still are trying to locate about in county funds reported missing from the Kerr County Treasurers office According to affidavit filed by sheriff department investigators authorities began looking into the treasurers office on Jan 25 after Kerr County Auditor Tom my Tomlinson reported in county funds missing from that department The affidavit goes on to state that former Ken County Treasurer Barbara Nemec told investigators that another in county money was at her private residences We have recovered some of the funds not from home Other money has been replaced and some may still be missing Hierholzer said According to the return affi davit no money was recovered from the Nemec home Investi gators did report seizing drug paraphernalia See system By Liz Austin Peterson ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER descriptions of decrepit cabins failing water systems and maintenance trucks the Texas Rarks and Wildlife Department made its case to lawmakers on Wednesday for to repair the ailing state park system Parks officials want the state to spend all of the estimated million collected annually on sporting goods sales taxes to revitalize the parks system The sporting goods sales tax fund for parks was created fh 1993 but lawmakers have often divert ed most of the money to other needs Just from the fund went to state parks last yean Robert Cook the departments executive director told members of a House appropriations Hilderbran that the agency has fore gone repairs to cabins in the me Conserva tion Corps at about 40 state parks I consider WRITER The Police Department is locking for a man who allegedly assaulted a teenage girl waiting for the school bus Wednesday morning Shortly after 7 am officers were called to the Apartments 600 of Travis Street for the assault The grt told police mat while she was waiting for the bus a man sat down next to her told her he had a gun and then grabbed her arm When the girl screamed the man slapped her face and then ran off said Police Lt Joe Lanning The man is described as a heavy set white or Hispanic man between the ages of 19 and 25 who is approximately 6 feet tall He was last seen wearing
