COLUMBIA Aug destroyed from to 000 worth of property here today The fire started near the Stewart livery barn iand as far as can be ascertained by the less throwing away of either a cigar or cigarette The local depart ment was called out but was un able to cope with the situation The fire swept the entire business block on Eighth street Seventh street and Locust streets The losses as far as can be resignation that he desired to re enter the evangelistic field and that this coupled with the poor health his wife has had while in this city prompts him to leave here The members of the church com were very reluctant to accept his resignation since Rev Palmer has made a splendid record while pastor of the church here Three hundred and fifty conversions have been made during his stay His de sire to reenter the evangelistic field and the poor health of his wife made the acceptance necessary Rev was an evangelist before he camo to this city and has always cherished a hope of going back to the
