FUNERAL EVENING As noted in yesterdays the dead body of William Gambell Gib son aged 70 of West Water street was fpund Wednesday afternoon in run near the old stone house ifl Whites woods by Fred Clawson Glair After discovering ae body the boys notified Chief of Po loe Kellar Harris who hurried to the and after an examination no Coroner W D Gates They had the body removed to the under taking rooms of John F Sieving where It was prepared for burial From the condition of the body and the surroundings the theory of sui cide was put forward by some persons but the family of Mr Gibson and his near relatives refute this statement Mr Gibson left home Tuesday morn ing May 26 and nothing was seen of him until the dead body was recovered He was quite active for one of his years and frequently took long walks It is supposed that he sat down beside the run and while there became weak either from his heart or a sudden stroke of paralysis and being unable to help himself had fallen into tbe water and was unable to get out William Gibson was the son of the late James Gibson and was born near Elderton In 1838 Mr Gibson con a store in that place for a of years and was In the stock busi ness with Marlin Lowman of In 1861 Mr Gibson was married to Isabel Kelly daughter of Abner Kelly of To this union two child ren were born John and Martha the former died when he was quite young and the latter has been stenographer for Attorney Ernest A Stewart since he went into the law business The Gibson family came to Indiana in 1893 residing in the Rebecca Alii 800 house on Church and Tenth Later they moved to their own fine house on West Water street Mr Gibson was at one time a motorman on one of tbe street cars in After leaving Pittsburg he was em ployed in where he was sup of the transfer office For the past 16 years Mr Gibson bad been located in Altoona being mana ger of the Supply shops of the Penn sylvania Railroad Company but spending his Sundays here however On his 70th Soon after he took sick his wife and two sons J and W P Risinger both of Homer City were sent for They arrived shortly after the noon hour Mr Risinger is aged about 67 years and has enjoyed the beat of health He owns several large farms near Homer City and recently sold a part of his estate to the coal company operating at Lucerne He also con ducts a dairy having a herd of 25 fine Jerseys His
