the duty cf the Governor of this by and with the ad- vice consent of tho Senate lo appoint a State Librarian vvho shall hold his office for two years and until his successor shall be appointed and qualified Sec 2 The Librarian before he enters upon discharge of his duties shall give a bend in the penal stun of ten thousand with good and security to be ed by the Governor made payable to the State of Ohio conditioned that he shall the duties of Librarian aud over to his successor in ail books and other erty belonging to Uio Stale Library according to law aud such rules and regulations as may bs adopted by the General Sec 3 That said execute and a receipt to tho Treasurer of State for nil maps and oilier property belonging to the State Library or which hereafter be chased for or presented to said Library specilyiog in said receipt each book or set of books map or article of s which receipt with bond bv said Librarian shall bo filed in tho Treasurer's office and be hold accountable for all said properly and in case of tbo death or removal from of tho Librarian all books maps aud other property to the Library shall ately be to his successor in office ing his receipt for lho same h shall be filed with the Slate Treasurer nnd a credit shall be entered on tho receipt of the former Librarian cordingly Imi neither the receipt nor the bond of th Librarian shall be up or cancelled unless tho whole property in his hands shall have beon accounted for to law nnd the rules nnd for the government of the Statu Libra iy -I Tho Librarian mav bo by Joint Resolution ol tho tinder the management of a Boaid of consisting of tho Governor Secretary of State and Stale Librarian Sec 7 That the Commissioners of the ry shall to adopt any rules and lations proper or necessary for the preservation regulation and increase of Library not wilh lho luw which the Librarian shall in und to superintend and direct all of made for the Sec ti That lho said Board of ers control the of lho Reports of tho Supreme Court and all copies of and oilier documents not otherwise appropriated or otherwise advisable to be preserved and kept in Library and for the purpose of making such sale the Commissioners may appoint person upon such terms as shall deem best from whom they shall take a bond surely conditioned for the faithful of liis duty and pining over the coeds of lho sales by him and the Com- missioners shall apply the proceeds of such sales lo the increase and preservation of tho Library Sec 9 The Commissioners shall direct the Librarian tu exchange statutes journals tive documents and other books with other bodies and Libraries as they shall deem proper Sec 10 All persons shall he permitted to it the Library and ex and the books thoro lho same therefrom under such regulations as Board ol Commissioners shall Members and of fie Assembly Judges of the Supreme Court and Court of Common Pleas officers of Slate and Clerks actually engaged in the s of the Slaie and
