man was last seen on the above evening bv son a farmer living close by from whom he purchased hay to feed his teams Those who were intimately with Reed say that he had lour or five hundred dollars in money about his person besides owning a span of mules a span of horses wagon and a complete outfit all of which were taken by the murderer as the fruits of his crime He was at once pursued by the
