to 25 Years If Convicted on Charges E Simonton of Pan ora was arrested Saturday after noon by county and Panora authorities and returned to Dal las County on assault with in- tent to commit a and being an habitual criminal Simonton allegedly ed a Bes Moines youth to accompany him to Guthrie County to become a farm hand He allegedly to molest the youth in Dallas County The teen-ager escaped and reported the incident to the Dallas County sheriff Simonton was taken to Des Moines Tuesday morning where he was to be sentenced in Polk County district court on a sodomy charge He was convicted on this count involving a 16 year old Des Moines youth last September two weeks ago He faces up to 25 years on the assault and habitual criminal charges in addition to the Polk County conviction Police records reportedly show that Simonton has served 28 years in the Iowa State penitentiary since 1918 on various moral offenses These include 13 years for rape five years for sodomy and six years on two Exira Accepted In Coon Valley Will Replace Audubon Compete in 1958 Games Exira has been accepted as a member of the Coon Valley Con- ference replacing Audubon The conference also consists of Guthrie Center Coon Rapids Manning Glidden Scranton Manilla and Bayard Because of Exira will not be able to play a full schedule of games until 1958 The following rec have been made by a loop The 1957 football schedule re- main unchanged Audubon will cancel all Coon Valley games in 1958 except with Exira Exira will then replace Audubon in each of the games The committee also mended returning to six ence games to qualify for the championship It was voted that Audubon not count in the 1957 race and that only five games are required for that championship This is the amount on which taxes will be
