HITCHINGS The Daily News GALVESTON A 12year old girl who recently moved from McAllen with her family re left her mothers resi dence Sunday night and has not been seen since Edith Eliza beth Rocha who goes by the nickname Flaca re left a note telling family mem bers shed be OK and left the house on foot between and She was in the house at and the note was found at and she was not there said Detective John Lopez Edith Elizabeth Rocha The 12yearold has been missing since Sunday POLICE IN BRIEF with the Galveston Police De juvenile division Galveston investigators origi nally thought Rocha might have gone to see her 20yearold boyfriend in McAllen but McAllen police have cleared the man of suspicion Lopez said Where he was he could not have physically gotten down here to get Lopez said Rocha contacted a neighbor in McAllen on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning saying she was lost had no money and was hungry Lopez said Although police said Rocha knew her grandmothers phone
