Temples Tries to Keep Pledge to a PROMISED TO SUICIDE Goes the Morphine Route Again But Without Success JUMPED FROM A MOVING CAR Mrs Louis Falls Down Stairs and Is Hurt List of Accidents The prompt arrival of a physician saved the life of Miss Jessie Teeples for the third time Wednesday night There has been an endeavor made to keep the matter quiet but it leaked out today On two former occasions Jessie tried to end her life but was brought out nf danger by the prompt action of Dr Ai the time Jessie vowed she would yet accomplish her purpose and Wednesday evening whether com- mitted with suicidal intent or not her former determination was nearly 4 After Jessie made her first attempt her mother moved from the place on street lo cago street but recently they moved out on Pontiac street in the southern end of the town where they have since lived Jessie has been despondent of late aud Wednesday evening went to a neighboring drug store and purchased several grains -of morphine She re- turned shortly and going into the bedroom swallowed the contents of the package Her mother entered the room shortly after and found Jessie lying prostrate upon the bed Dr pel was summoned but was unable to respond and another physician was sent for When he arrived animation was practically suspended and the doctor labored several hours before the girl was brought to a realization of her senses Today she is resting easier and no serious results are JUMPED THE CAR A woman who gave her name as jumped from a n ing Main street car last night and landed heavily on her head She wi picked up unconscious and taken in a cab to her home 120 Wilt street where Dr Ladd attended her The woman acted very peculiarly prior to the fall and was presumably under the influence of iho time She hurled violent epithets at Captain Korgman who sat in trout of her and created ble excitement She was badly out bout the head bin not dangerously Mrs Valentine wife of the Eel Kiver while descending the stone steps at the this afternoon tripped and fell to the bottom horribly lacerating the llesh below the law eye She was carried into Heaton's drug store where the wound was dressed IN A RUNAWAY
