evening while services were in progress and stole a vaiuable over coat belonging to M L Andrews o 710 Harriet street He also took a satchel lying on the floor of the cloak room The satchel it is stated con wearing apparel o did not leave his name a police station where the thefts wen reported but said he lived at 717 Eas Third street Patrolman Tidwell found a freigh car in the Wheeling yards that hat been broken open Sunday evening The car it is stated contained good consigned to the Gro eery Company Whether was taken has not been reported A number of boys are said to seen about the car in the afternoon The clothing store of W B Rej Company of 229231 East Tus street was burglarized some time between midnight Saturday arid daylight Sunday morning The bur glar carried away a black coat arid vest a fancy vest an overcoat asof hat a trousers arid some uh Sunday morning the door of the store in East Fifth street was found open hjr one of the employes door it is stated was locked the store was closed Saturday night Leo Abt whose wa burglarized 3 4 Saturday morning and money am jewelry of the value of over stolen has offered a reward of for the apprehension of the thief or the against McLean for burglary and larceny by the last grand jury in connection with the alleged offense which occurred on September 6 Me Lean has been out of the city only re turning on Sunday from Columbus The automobile was found in the evening of the date named in the swamp adjacent to the plant of the Sell Horse Goods Company in Schroy er avenue McLean has retained At torney Luther Day to COURT Case Goes Says He Will Return tp New York By Associated Dayton Oct Brandenburg appeared in police court this morning to answer to the charge of being a fugitive from justice By mutual consent the case went over un til tomorrow Bradenburg now says he will return to New York without out further formalities They were immediately accepted and State Organizer Davis at Columbus was notified immediately The present organization is the largest political club ever organized in the city Steps will be in all probability at the next meeting to make the organization permanent Ap plication for general tendency of sentiment in New York city is that Taft will barriers seem more or less broken down as regards the national election and practical issues are being carefully considered The stoall tradesman as wellas the large manufacturers and dealers seem to realize that business interests are at stake Bryans name does not spell Prosperity here There is a good deal of advertising being done by both bands small parades and so on but the Headquarters are very quiet according to authorities on the subject It is no uncommon thing to see pictures of Taft and Sherman Bryan and Kern in the same windows proves that the people have already made up their minds and sell their window space impartially Naturally the gubernatorial elec tion is more hotly issue here be elected on the upstate vote but Chanler will un doubtedly carry New York city He has a large following and is consider ed to be quite as strong a man person ally as Hughes It is within the probabilities that the state may go Republican for Taft and Democratic on local issues It would not be true to say that Bryan is considered a joke at least he is not taken seriously The east side takes to Mr Debs but the general feeling seems to be that Bry ans election would mean a serious menace to business conditions now be coming more or less normal The average man so far as one can judge from the expressions of public senti ment in the papers will vote for the Republican candidate leaving to Bryan whatever he can take from the Socialist element The sensational features of the campaign do not ap pear to bo of much actual Two good many cents a day to keep the family pet that pulled all the little kids around and never tried to run away they did not dispose of the old Dobbins The advent of the automobile did not decrease the pat at the local livery stables be cause those who were able to purchase automobiles were able in most cases to support stables of their own One liveryman said that he expect ed the cost of keeping a horse to ad vance higher than ever during the coming winter and spring The oats crop this year he said was not a fail ure but one while the ears of corn are but half developed and small Hay has advanced rapidly and will in all probability cost in the spring double what it does now There have been but two times in fifty years that I can remember when corn cost more than said one horseman today Within the past few days that condition has existed The other time was four years ago I dont know what the out come will be Im sure in my own mind that the President of the United States has
