Texas rangers and county officers blanketed border highways and roads today after a man md his blonde woman companion hot suspects in the Frome desert killings dashed from a brushy hid place and eluded Sheriff Gus of Starr County A handkerchief with the letter on it was found in the brush A similar handkerchief with an F on it was found in Nancy Fromes hand when her body was ered Pulls a Gun The chase started last night when Iwo Laredo residents Louis Kowal ski and Dr E Longoria reached Roma 13 miles west of here and re ported seeing an automobile oc by a man and woman parked in brush between Roma and Rio Grande City Sheriff Guerri rushed to the spot but when his machine approached Ihe automobile darted from its hid ing place reached the highway and outdistanced the officer Officers here said a a tall man and a blonde woman entered a Roma sandwich shop last night and ordered hamburgers The man pulled a gun on the attendants who officers said apparently had recog them as the hunted suspects threw his sandwich on the floor and fled in the direction of Rio Grande City The sandwich shop attendants told officers the automobile matched the description of the car sought She Lies The man shop attendants said remarked he had had tire trouble and tried to get help from eight persons before his tire was repair ed He said they had left Laredo three hours previously The woman told attendants she had been de by Laredo authorities for three hours and questioned as a suspect Laredo authorities quickly denied the womans statement A squad of Laredo officers and State Highway
