minutes he was apparently electrocuted when h walked blindly into a wire which snapped off after hi car hit an pole It was raining at tb time The victim was identified a George A Hunter 43 of 141 Montrose St by Capt James A Crawford of Ridley Township po lice Police theorized Hunter go mixed up and made a wrong turn because of he detour from Pail view Road which is being re paired by the Pennsylvania De- of Highways His car backed into a pole be 1571 and 1573 Park Lane Road near the intersection o Black Rock Road A short block away Park Lane Hoad runs into a dead end Police believe Hunter who was alone in a 1960 coupe had driven down to the dead end had backet up hit the pole and gotten ou of his car Both doors of the ve hide were shut when police ar- rived Neighbors said the wire current for street lights were knocked out when the wire snapped Hunter apparently was walking in the dark when his feet became tangled in the wire Aroused by the impact neigh bors rushed outside then called police Philadelphia Electric Co work ers removed the wires from the victim's feet An unidentified PE worker administered artificial res Members of the Milmont Fire Co ambulance crew and field police tried to revive Hunter with resuscitators for 25 minutes Called by police Dr William Y Rial of Swarthmore also ed to save Hunter Dr Rial said he believes Hunter was dead by the time he arrived Dr Rial pronounced him dead at His body was turned over to Deputy Coroner James Hunt ol Darby Mr and Mrs Irvin Stein of 1571 Park Lane Road were wakened by shouts from their neighbors Mr Stein
