GOT DUMPED Ferocious Dog at the Nest Caused Runaway for Wish Mill ers Party of South Ml Vernon Local News i N his son U Grant Mill er and James D returned home Friday evening from a weeks hunt at Iho home of their friend John 19 miles over the mountain They were most royally entertained by Mr Umbel and enjoyed his hospi lo tins fullest extent On last Wednesday they killed a buck weighing pounds Last fall Mr Miller wounded Mils same deer finding where he lodged four buck shot In his right shoulder but failing to get him They also got 21 13 pheasants eight coons and two gray foxes 1 Mr Miller says ou his way home he met with what might havo been a serious accident At the first house above Ilia Turkeys Nest a dogran out and grabbed the horse Grant Miller nnd McKean scaring horse and causing him Jo run away Mr jumped out of the bug gy but Grant held ou to the reins un til kicked put by excited horse Ho was badly used up about the legs feet and can scarcely get around The horse ran Into tho rig driven by N W Miller and Umbel upset ing Mr Millers buggy tearing off one of the hind throwing the occupants the deer and other game violently to tho ground but did no serious harm The horse
