Daily Gazette (Newspaper) - December 18, 1908, Xenia, Ohio THE XENIA DAILY GAZETTE Limbs Below the Knees Were Raw Too Swollen to Get Shoes Completely Broken by Intense Itching and Burning Well in Two Days and Says That HIS HOUSEHOLD GODS God bless the man who first com pounded Some two months ago I had a humor break out on my limba below my knees They came to look like raw beefsteak nil red and no one knows how itched and burned They were so swollen that I had to split my drawers open to get them ori and could not get my shoes on for a week or more I prestige tho great state of Ohio in the senate oE the states They are not interested In tho geographical location of their senators home but they are interest ed in his qualifications and his ability They are not inclined to take the narrow view held by some that an Ohio senator represents only one sec tion of the state They want a sen ator who ia big enough and broad enough to represent the whole state and all the people Even those who are opposing the candidacy of Theodore B Burton for United States senator admit that the popular would be a successor of such former great Ohio senators as Wado and Chase and Thurman Sher man and others Practically their only argument his candidacy is their claim that custom requires that Senator Forakers successor sHould be chosen from Southern Ohio Were this claim founded on it might have more or less ef fect although tho people of Ohio are in a mood at present to give more weight to tho personal and public qualifications of the candidates than they are to the relatively ant question of the exact location of their abiding places But their claim s not even supported by fact If geographical distribution were to be tho controlling factor in the Be of a United States senator from Ohio the honor would go to tho Cleveland candidate without further discussion This assertion is support edby the following facts During thro first 48 years of statehood every senator came from tho southern part of the state with tho exception of Stanley Griswold of yd rs sections of the state at the but 91 years la the history of Ohio Hamilton county has represented in tiie United senats 47 years while county has had representa tion for only 14 yeans So it the lies Hamilton county ia entitled to the next senator if thp lies between southern and tho latter section
