Breckinridge Long today sent the fol lowing telegram to James A Reed his opponent in the United States sen race in which he proposes Suffrage and Elections that Reed join him in an open letter tee Recommends ito voters of the state for the purpose tion of Conventions keeping party lines intact in the j primary election An increase in the pay of members j The telegram follows of the State Legislature from to a day the shortening of regular sessions of that body from seventy to sixty days and the retaining of the present number of legislators are provisions included in the report of i the Constitutional Convention Com on legislation which was pre sented to the Convention yesterday The speech of Senator Stanley was evidently made with the intention of creating the impression that asking the election officials of the state to require all the voters not heretofore known to have been affili ated with the Democratic party to take the oath prescribed by law that they all the
