from all over Missouri will converge on Jefferson City next Saturday in celebration of the sixty sixth anniversary of the Grand Army of the Republic A memorial tablet to the R A R will at the statehouse on the occasion It will be unveiled by H M Anderson of Kan sas City Governor Henry S Caul field is slated as one of the speakers Hundreds of visitors are expected in Jefferson City for the occasion be sides several score of the graying veterans who helped to save the Union from the revolting South Every patriotic organization in the city also will have a hand in the ceremony While the manager SERVICE BOARD DECISION STANDS Supreme Court Upholds Com missions Refusal to Issue Bus Certificates The State Public Service Commis sion was upheld yesterday by divi sion No 1 of the Missouri Supreme Court in three cases in which the commission refused to issue certifi cates of convenience and necessity asked by the Alton Transporta tion Company The transportation company is the motor bus ary of the Alton Railroad The transportation company charged the commissions order in the three cases was unreasonable and unlawful but the Cole county circuit court upheld the commis sion and the transportation com pany appealed Todays decision sustained tho circuit court In one of the eases the transpor tation company asked authority to operate a motor carrier between Mexico and Jefferson City The commission found there was no necessity for such service between Fulton and Jefferson City where a line already was in operation but authorized tho company to operate provided passengers were
