Auditor Bills For Tax M Will Be Presented to Commissioners County Surveyor Unable to Get Payment Through Auditor Decides Upon New Course of Procedure According to Information given out at the office Wednesday County Surveyor George Bock will try a new method to collect the bills for the of himself and three in making the county tax maps The work was started early in uary under contract made with the county commissioners worded In such a manner that the bills need not be presented to the commissioners each month for allowance but should go directly to the auditor and treasurer for payment To go to Commissioners The first batch of these bills was presented to Auditor Randies about the first of February and he withheld his O K They have not yet been paid The same incident occurred in March with the same result and the for the three months work were handed in hut with a ferent procedure in view This time Mr Bock asks that they go not to the auditor direct but to the to receive their approval at their session next Monday Auditor's Course of Action In case the bills are approved the auditor states that he will still refuse to place his OK In that event Mr Bock's next course may be to start proceedings in mandamus to compel the approval of the bills In reply Mr says he will set forth his reasons for his course and there may be some unexpected lations May Withdraw Mandamus It is reported Wednesday afternoon that Bock has withdrawn the damus instituted a week ago against the auditor to compel the ment of his salary as surveyor for January and February The bills filed Wednesday are Geo J Bock two months salary J C Liggett three as assistant man A H C Shaw assistant Floyd Holl assistant In addition to these there are a ber of smaller bill's for expenses which bring the total
