Guerrillas Threaten New Invasion Of Saigon Area SAIGON diving through antiaircraft fire bombed Viet Cong positions on the fringes of Saigon's Chinatown today and Allied troops battled attacking guerrillas on three sides of the South Vietnamese capital As the suburban fighting raged ment officials that the Viet Cong might charge again into Saigon hit hard in the nationwide city offensive the Communists launched three weeks ago In Hue South Vietnam's embattled second city the U.S Marine commander said he will not reinforce his casualty depleted force until better weather permits cover to protect them in a stalled drive against North Vietnamese suicide troops In this kind of situation the more men you put in the more casualties you're going to said CoL Hughes commander of the 1st Marine Regiment He said casualties had been heavy because of the bad weather Near Saigon South Vietnamese rangers summoned to hit a nest of guerrillas about two miles east of the Phu The race track a
