There is only one side to the truth' Amer i ca ' Mo ves Towa rd s Abandonment of Israel' By IsraelNationalNews. com An unidentified former highly- placed U. S. intelligence official has broken silence and said that America may soon be abandoning Israel in favor of the Arabs. “ This is just the beginning”, he said, " Israel could be about to lose the support of the United States." The source made these remarks in an exclusive interview with Douglas J. Hagmann, the director of the Northeast Intelligence Network ( NIN), which is compr ised of vet eran licensed professional investigators, analysts, military affairs specialists and researchers. The group has combined their resources to provide accurate and well- sourced information via their website. Hagmann appeared on Israel National Radio's Weekend Edition with host Tamar Yonah. When quest ioned about the possible abandonment of Israel by America, Hagmann told Yonah, " The Obama administration is no friend to Israel, is no friend to the Jews in America and is no friend to democracy or freedom in America. " Just by his very appointments, we can see him filling positions of power with people who are anti- Semitic, who want to see Israel essentially dissolved as a nation, if not by diplomacy, then certainly by war." In his report, the unidentified source told Hagmann, “ I have every reason to believe, based on what I’ve seen at my level of [ security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse.” He explained this would happen “ when our administrat ion provides more support to Arab count ries [ with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel’s defense efforts all while pushing Israel t o succumb t o the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation.” Hagmann reported that " the Middle East will be the site of ' the coming war,' and Israel will be at its epicenter. If we survive as a nation, the U. S. will not be on the side of righteousness in this war, instead turning our back to - or our guns against - our only true friend in the Middle East - Israel," he said. Israel Arrests Hamas Politicians in West Bank After Talks Collapse By Luis Ramirez ( VOA- Jerusalem) Israeli soldiers have arrested a number of Hamas politicians in the West Bank. The arrests follow the collapse of indirect negotiations between Israel and the militant Islamist group this week. Iranian Defection Led to Strike on Syrian Nuke Site: The 2/ 2007 defection of a retired senior Iranian military official to the U. S. paved the way for the Israeli raid that destroyed a Syrian nuclear site in September of that year, according to an article in the Swiss newspaper Neue Zuercher Zeitung, written by Hans Ruehle, former chief of the planning staff of the German Defense Ministry. He wrote the U. S. and Israel were both caught off guard by the claim made by Reza Asghari - a retired general in Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards and a former deputy defense minister - " that Iran was financing a secret nuclear project of Syria and North Korea." Hamas officials labeled the arrests an attempt by Israel to punish the group after the two sides failed to reach a deal for a truce in indirect negotiations for a prisoner swap brokered by Egypt. Israel had sought to win the release of Gilad Shalit , a soldier seized by Palestinian terrorists and taken to the Gaza Strip in 2006. Talks broke down when Israel refused to hand over all of the Palest inian prisoners that Hamas wanted released - some of whom included people involved in terror attacks that killed Israeli civilians. Among those arrested in the Israeli- occupied West Bank were four Hamas members of the Palest inian Legislat ive Council and a university professor. A statement from Israel's military said those detained were leaders of an ongoing effort to restore the administ rat ive branch o f Hamas, which Israel considers a t er ror ist organization. The group does not recognize the Jewish State's right to exist and has called for its destruction. In remarks carried by Israeli radio, Hamas lawmaker Moushir al- Masri condemned the arrests. He accused Israel of trying to blackmail Hamas, an effort he vowed will fail. In a related story, long t ime Fatah leader Mohammed Dahlan said the organization has never recognized Israel's right to exist. The former Fatah security commander made t he remarks dur ing an int erview wit h a P alest inian Authority- controlled TV station. Dahlan was responding to a question about Fatah's reported insistence that Hamas recognize Israel's right to exist as a precondit ion for the est ablishment of a Palest inian unity government. " We acknowledge that the PLO did recognize Israel's right to exist, but we are not bound by it as a resistance faction." Chapin: Des tro y Iranian Nuclear Facilities Now By Israel Faxx News Services Roger Chapin, founder and President of Make America Safe, has writ t en an art icle for t he Washington Times which advocates preemptive strikes on Iran to destroy their nuclear facilities at the earliest possible time. Chapin wants the U. S. to act preemptively to head off an Iranian nuclear attack on Israel and an electro- magnetic pulse ( EMP) attack on the United States. " And given Israel's warnings to Iran and its prior attacks on Iraqi and Syrian nuclear targets, Iran will very likely try and nuke Israel first, especially with the very hawkish Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now in charge," Chapin wrote. " Since the U. S. would presumably retaliate, this makes an Iranian pre- empt ive EMP attack on the United States all the more likely."
