first degree murder charge today stood against Robert Edwards Lothario who slew one of his so he would be free to another But despite Bobs alleged confes sion that he deliberately planned the murder of Freda 26 Ed church worker the other girl itill believes in him Margaret Grain old music teacher of East Aurora N Y visited with Edwards yesterday She assured him in a 20 minute conference that she the slaying indicating the murder was premeditated District Attorney T M Lewis said Edwards in a second confession told how he wanted rid of Freda who was soon to a mother and marry Miss Bob and to the alleged confession went to Harveys lake last Monday night The youth told the girl of his desire to marry another Miss McKechnie took the startling news calmly and the couple entered the lake for R swim Edwards Prosecutor Lewis said drew a black jack from his bathing suit and beat Freda on the head Previously Edwards told a story that Miss McKechnie fainted when he told her hc was going to marry Miss Grain according to Lewis The youth it was said tried to revive Freda but was unsuccessful To make her death look like an ac the first alleged confession was reported to state Edwards ran to his automobile got a black jack struck Miss McKechnie on the head and threw her body into the water Lewis said Edwards admitted he told lies in his first confession and that the boy said the second
