CPTC complex in The dedicated icemaking crew at the CPTC complex has prepared a 1250 foot sheet of ice specifically for an attempt to break the world record curling stone toss of 576 feet 4 The record toss was set in Manitoba in 1989 on a sheet of ice 1200 feet Both the toss and the sheet of ice are listed in the Guinness Book of Beausejours sheet of ice officially 1250 feet six inches long is already eligible to be listed in the 1995 Guinness But who will break the record for the longest curling stone toss The attempt to break the record for the longest curling stone toss will be made Satur February 25 at the CPTC complex as part of the Lions Family Fun Day and 34th Annual Lions Winter Fare Registration begins at in the heated Quonset south of the grand The event begins at at the
