proprietors by Giselle Lussler staff reporter As It Is often Life is all about and that Is very true for the past and present proprietors of the Belmont Hardware After twenty years of servicing the Belmont community through their hardware Alec and Myrna Deleurme decided to make a change In their occupations and sell their However the changes havent stopped for the Deleurmes as they begin their new positions in They are the resident managers of the Victoria Woods Estates apartment complex in and welcome anyone to stop by and visit Gary and Kathy the new owners of the Belmont Hardware are beginning a career in a different town and business following twentyfive years working In Albertas health care We needed a change In our After spending twentyfive years in the health care system we felt that it was time to retire from that area of My Evelyn Gunson of Belmont called and NEW Hardware Is now owned by lr Kathy and Gary Davidson who have begun a new career In the retail business after spending 25 years working In Albertas health care told us that the hardware store was for sale and that it would soon close Its doors if It didnt So Gary and I discussed It and we thought that it would be a good opportunity for explained Kathy during a recent telephone The Davidsons who both had previously worked in a major hospital In admit to having the all Important people skills however they are new to Myrna and Alec have given good customer service and we plan on continuing the Although we havent made any changes to the business we are open to suggestions and welcome any Ideas which may help us to better serve our valued said Gary and Kathy have a twelve year old who is presently enrolled in the sixth grade in the Belmont Although Craig has spent many school vacations in Belmont visiting with his grandmother and making new friendships with children he now sees there are still many changes he too can look forward School Board trustees anticipate a short term due to amalgamation by Giselle Lussier staff reporter The Tiger Hills School Division Is presently taking nominations for five trustee positions to cover the wards 6 and The vote will take place on October and although the notice of nominations states that the position Is for a two year most of the present trustees feel that the term will be considerably shorter as they are getting near to amalgamating with Pernbina Valley and Mountain School As enrolment In each school In the division is getting smaller every it would be wise to cut down on administrative costs and amalgamate with other stated Marvin Anderson chairman of the Marvin Anderson of Cypress River who Is the Incumbent for ward Is running for another two year 1 would like to remain on the board as the decision of whether or not the board will amalgamate with Pemblna and Mountain is coming up In the very near future and I would also like to see the through Its commented Marvin during a recent telephone Trustee Anne Marie Johnson of Ward 4 is not sure If she will run for her third term as she I am considering but I am waiting to see If there Is anyone else interested In the However I have found the past four years an eyeopener and a very Interesting Steve Bjornson of trustee Is looking forward to another but welcomes nominations for ward Barb Bolack of Incumbent for ward said that she has spoken with the Baldur Parent Advisory Committee to see If anyone would be Interested In running for I will remain on the board If there arent any other nominations for this If the amalgamation with Pemblna and Mountain goes through the position would be for an eight month term so I feel that Is why no one Is really considering the said Trustee Pilot Mounds Larry trustee of ward Is also considering another but would like to see some nominations for his I am thinking about It and the paperwork is still sitting but I would like to see someone else seek If no one does step I will remain on the board and I dont foresee
