Submit Your Story
Please follow these easy guidelines for submitting your My Story document: |
| Technical Guidelines: |
- Please submit electronically using Microsoft ® Word, Microsoft ® Works, or Corel ® WordPerfect format.
- Please limit your submission to no more than 6,000 words.
- Feel free to use standard text styles and formats such as italics, bold, and underline.
- Please do not use multiple fonts; we will convert the entire document to our standard font prior to web release.
- Please double–check grammar and spelling prior to submission.

| Writing Guidelines: |
- Please write about real events that you experienced. You may also submit a story about someone close to you, but please obtain permission prior to submission.
- Please feel free to write in first person, as you experienced the events you are writing about.
- Please do not slander anyone in your writing. You are liable for your submission.
- Please do not submit writing on an inappropriate topic. We collect and publish stories about individual people and their experiences.

- Please include any newspaper pages from the archive you would like to reference in your story. find out how
- We can also include images that you provide, such as photos of yourself, documents you have saved that impact your story, etc. Please verify that these images are copyright-free prior to sending. We accept images in .pdf, .jpg, .png, and .gif format.
